This non-invasive cosmetic procedure is suitable for both men and women. It is completely different from a tattoo: it uses semi-permanent REACH pigments in the same shade as your natural hair. These pigments are absorbed over time, and the application is virtually painless.

Over the course of three scalp micropigmentation sessions, spaced 15 days apart to allow for cell renewal, the results of your treatment will gradually take shape, culminating in an impressive final result. When alopecia is severe, a hair transplant may be possible, with the main limitation being the capacity of the donor area. If this is limited, scalp micropigmentation can be used as a complementary treatment to further enhance the density effect. Don't worry, you'll only feel a tingling sensation!
The perception of pain is very subjective, but the vast majority of patients agree that this treatment only causes a tingling sensation.
Scalp micropigmentation is nothing like a tattoo or permanent makeup! The skill of our expert, their specialized dermograph, and the extremely fine needles used result in a completely different level of pain.
These two disciplines are completely different !
The difference between scalp micropigmentation and tattooing lies in the depth at which the pigment is implanted in the skin, as well as the gauge of the needles. The REACH pigment is bio-absorbable. It will fade after a few years. Therefore, it is not a permanent treatment.
This treatment is long-lasting, but it is not permanent.
The lifespan of the pigment depends on a multitude of factors, ranging from your skin’s thickness and metabolism to the chosen shade, your lifestyle, activities, and work environment (sun exposure, heat or steam, smoking, frequent bathing: swimming pool, beach, etc.).
On oily skin, the pigment may be absorbed more quickly. Generally, the pigments disappear after 3 to 5 years, which is why maintenance sessions should be scheduled, preferably annually, to maintain optimal results.

For patients with significant alopecia and a limited donor area, combining a hair transplant and scalp micropigmentation is a relevant strategy. Therefore, if the density of the donor area is affected by a hair transplant, the density effect achieved through scalp micropigmentation will compensate for this reduction.
To allow sufficient time for your body to heal and to ensure a realistic view of your hairstyle, we recommend having scalp micropigmentation performed at least 9 months after your hair transplant. Conversely, it is possible to have a hair transplant as little as 1 month after a scalp micropigmentation session.
Proper preparation will help the pigments last as long as possible.
Avant votre première séance de tricopigmentation et les suivantes :
- Évitez absolument les coupures au niveau du cuir chevelu.
- Il est essentiel de faire un shampoing dans les 24 heures précédant votre séance de tricopigmentation.
- Pour un effet de densité, aucun rasage n’est nécessaire. Pour les cheveux courts, nous préconisons un passage chez le coiffeur 48 heures avant votre séance de tricopigmentation. Ainsi, votre expert travaillera sur la base de votre coupe de cheveux habituelle. Pour les cheveux longs, pas besoin d’aller chez le coiffeur.
- Pour un effet rasé, les cheveux devront être à un maximum de 2 mm (de 0 à 2 mm au sabot de la tondeuse, en évitant absolument les coupures).
- Pour couvrir une cicatrice, il est indispensable que la cicatrisation soit complète et qu’il ne s’agisse pas d’une chéloïde.
- Pour les porteurs de prothèse, il faudra la retirer 2 jours avant la séance.
- Si votre cuir chevelu est sec ou présente des pellicules, faites un gommage 2 jours avant la séance et hydratez (1 à 2 fois par jour). Si votre cuir chevelu est très sec, hydratez-le pendant une semaine avant la séance .
- Éviter de consommer de l’alcool ou de prendre de l’aspirine, des anti-inflammatoires, des anticoagulants, des corticostéroïdes.
- Si vous suivez un traitement de vitamine A acide (comme pour certains traitements contre l’acné), vous devrez attendre 3 mois après l’arrêt de celui-ci pour effectuer une pigmentation.
- Vous pouvez réaliser une teinture jusqu’à 15 jours avant votre tricopigmentation, mais pas après.
Bien entendu, nos équipes vous communiqueront l’ensemble des préconisations et des contre-indications. La mise au point de votre programme de micropigmentation est réalisée avec le plus grand soin afin d’obtenir un résultat exceptionnel. Il serait dommage de réduire son impact en ne respectant pas ces consignes !
Des consignes claires vous seront adressées après le traitement. En voici les principales !
Sur les 7 jours qui suivent le traitement
- On ne se lave la tête qu’au troisième jour en utilisant un savon au pH neutre.
- On applique une à deux fois par jour une crème cicatrisante et hydratante pendant trois jours.
- On ne gratte pas son crâne, on évite les chocs et les activités sportives afin de ne pas transpirer.
- On évite le port de bonnet ou de casque.
Sur les 15 jours suivants
- On évite l’exposition au soleil et aux UV.
- On ne se baigne pas (ni en mer, ni en piscine).
- On ne fréquente pas les saunas, les hammams et on évite les bains chauds.
- On ne se teint pas les cheveux et on n’applique pas de produit chimique.
Pendant 30 jours après la séance
- Pas d’IRM.
- Pas de chaleur excessive (cela concerne aussi les brushings, les lissages, les permanentes, etc.)
Racine Carrée vous communique l’ensemble des préconisations d’après séance et reste à l’écoute de la moindre question.
Pour l’effet rasé, aucun problème. Pour l’effet densité, la tricopigmentation ne sera pas satisfaisante.
En effet, pour un effet de re-densification, l’illusion impressionnante que la tricopigmentation permet fonctionne en combinaison avec des cheveux existants, en dissimulant le contraste entre la couleur de votre chevelure et celle du cuir chevelu.
Si les cheveux sont absents, l’effet rasé est bien sûr réalisable. Si votre objectif est de retrouver de véritables cheveux sur les zones dégarnies, alors la greffe capillaire est la solution.
Comme souvent dans les sciences, tout vient du grec !
En grec, « tricho » signifie cheveu ou poil. On devrait donc écrire Trichopigmentation avec le h. Cependant, la majorité des gens lui préfèrent le mot tricopigmentation. Même s’il s’agit d’une faute, Racine Carrée s’est simplement adapté à l’orthographe la plus courante de ce terme.
